Dr. Naika Apeakorang is a dual-licensed Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist with nearly a decade of experience in integrative medicine.

Dr. Naika specializes in women's hormonal and reproductive health, with a particular focus on fibroids, PCOS, and perimenopause. She works with patients through specialized consultations and partners with brands and organizations committed to advancing integrative health in meaningful ways.

Dr. Naika's work is rooted in docere, the naturopathic principle of doctor as teacher. She believes that knowledge freely shared is medicine in itself, and that in a world where health information is increasingly abundant but often overwhelming, education remains one of the most powerful tools a doctor can offer, helping people better understand their bodies, their health, and themselves, and become active participants in their own care.

Dr. Naika always knew she wanted to be a doctor.

Raised in New York City as the daughter of a physician and a pharmacist, she arrived at Brown University as a pre-med student and found herself equally drawn to Cultural Anthropology, the study of how humans make meaning, build systems of care, and understand the body through the lens of culture. That curiosity would quietly redirect everything.

Her original path pointed toward surgery and global health, with the ultimate goal of working with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders). Along the way, her own exploration of holistic health expanded her vision of the physician she wanted to become and led her to naturopathic medicine, a discipline that honored the whole person, addressed root causes, and incorporated the wisdom of traditional healing with the rigor of clinical science.

At Bastyr University, she was especially drawn to acupuncture, an ancient healing system that offered a profound opportunity to heal through touch while bringing together culture, medicine, and meaning. She pursued both her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master's in Acupuncture, graduating in 2017.

Dr. Naika returned to New York and built a practice in Brooklyn from the ground up in 2018.

For six years, she worked with patients across a range of conditions, with an evolving focus on women's health, pain management, digestive health, and chronic stress. Her approach wove together naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, herbal medicine, and clinical nutrition in service of the whole person.

While growing her in-person practice in Brooklyn, she also facilitated wellness workshops and immersive experiences for cultural institutions, universities, and corporations, partnering with organizations including Meta, Lululemon, Audible, Yale, Georgetown, NYU, The Honey Pot Co., and beyond. Dr. Naika has served on advisory boards, collaborated with brands, and spoken on panels across the country.

After six years in private practice, Dr. Naika made the intentional decision to expand beyond the four walls of her Brooklyn office and into the online wellness space. The rise of virtual care created an opportunity to reach people far beyond her local community and reinforced something she had always believed: that empowering people through education is one of the most powerful forms of medicine.

In addition to her online work, Dr. Naika also serves as a founding clinician in the Integrative Medicine department at one of New York City's few hospital-based integrative medicine programs, providing evidence-based acupuncture in a cancer center as well as for inpatient care.

Today, Dr. Naika's work spans clinical care, education, media, and strategic advisory. She sees patients through specialized online consultations, shares clinical knowledge through her podcast The Uplevel with Dr. Naika and across social media, partners with brands and institutions whose values align with hers, consults with organizations building meaningful wellness and integrative medicine programs, and speaks on panels where holistic and complementary healing deserve a place in the conversation.

Whether working one-on-one with patients, advising organizations and brands, creating educational content, hosting retreats, or speaking to audiences around the world, Dr. Naika's mission remains the same: to advance integrative medicine by bridging science, traditional healing wisdom, and human connection, so more people can experience transformative whole-person care.
